That might be the retail price..for the 700/NXT package...I will let you know how they fair out on a big heavy V. The majority of kinks were worked out early on, and Nortech to date has 16 units out there without a problem. So far so good....Jeff

Are the NXT's a upgrade from Bravo's or the next generation #6?

DaveTic 09-23-2007 10:25 PM

The trany for the NXT has the same cone clutch design as the Bravo and we all know how reliable that is.
No the NXT has a transmission located in the stand off box.

If you look real hard you can find a coulpe of NXT drives that someone has seperated form the motors for sale, I believe that it was $50,000.00 for a pair

If you can buy an NXT separate, what is the warrnaty honestly and what HP are you putting this on?

Konrad offers 1 year on 800 HP.

They are unbelievable people to deal with and are not a huge money grubbing machine like Merc. :D

Again, if I can be of any assistance with techinical data, real world installation help or pricing, please let me know at:

DaveTic,
where did you hear that price?? I heard $75/pr..

cigrocket 09-24-2007 07:53 AM

I've had great customer service from Konrad. Kurt has been great to deal with, always there to answer questions and help out. Try getting somone on the phone at merc, and then try to get satisfaction. Just my experience so far. The drives did what they were supposed to do as advertised. I'd buy them again.

and in that transmition you will find cone clutches, they do not use a conventional transmition. How do you think they get it so small?

I looked real hard and found a pair for $75k and NO warrenty unless you couple them to approved Merc power.

I'll stick to the Konrads for $50k for a complete package with warrenty, customer support, lattitude to couple to anyones power package and a real solid trany from BAM.
