Can anyone tell me the hp limit of kaama surface drives with the borg warner transmissions? I have an 85 sutphen and would like to know how far I can mod the engines.

I believe they are rated @ 700 hp orig.from the factory, but I have seen guys run more than 1000 hp thru them. I have been running a pair for over 20+ yrs @ apprx 640 hp and have had good luck. (knock on wood) I run a synthetic gear lube. ? borg trans ? most Kamma set ups had Twin Disc transmissions. Where do u run it anyways ? jay 33-Sutphen "I'CE SCREAM" good luck.
