If anything I would have a HD gear set put in it if I was you!
What HD gear set would you recommend?

I have nearly 600 hours on a pair of 280hp/alphas, on a boat that weighs around 5000lbs., and have had no problems, just maintenance and a seal or two.
The guys who put turbines infront of alphas swear they'll hold up very well if they are precisely shimmed.
