Default Oil leaking from shifter mech on bravo

Has anyone ever experienced this when they pulled thier drive off? I pull one of the drives off a couple of weeks ago and drive oil was leaking out of the shifter mech. hole. I haven't had one apart yet, Is there a seal that is common to go bad, or could I have a cracked case?

Thanks,
Frank

That seal that JT mentioned is not commonly a problem, but then again neither is oil in that passage. I would check the shift rod for damage where it rides on the seal and the seal and also the back cover oring, just as JT mentioned. Has to be coming from that area.

Hope that helps..
