Alrighty, got my Bravo anodes in the mail last week, and since the temperature outside is only -6 C, it's time to get those power trim cylinders fitted....but wait..., there's no flippin' threads in any of the four holes in the cylinder top cap! And the holes are too big to tap two for the stainless bolts provided with the anode kit.

I guess there have never been anodes on these trims ...which is why they're so badly pitted. Can anyone give me some advice? - it looks like drilling (and tapping) the top cap in between two of the existing holes is "the" way to mount trim cylinder anodes?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can buy the cap you need or if there is enough meat around the existing holes to heli-coil whats there. Just a few thoughts.

Those 4 holes are for the pins on the spanner wrench used to remove the gland nut (top cap) you can either buy the gland nuts with 2 additional threaded holes for the anodes or you can just drill and tap them yourself which is probably the much easier route.

You have old cylinders. You can buy new end caps or very carefully drill holes for the anodes.
