nose cone good or bad

It depends on what drive and how fast your boat it. If your boat is slower and you put them on then most likely it will go slower. If you are going fast enough that you are getting prop blow out at speed then they may help you go faster.

If you are running the short bullet lower unit, (they were around in '88') then the nose cone is needed at a slower speed. I hit a wall at 75mph with a short bullet, the nose cone helped break thru that wall. The present day lower is longer and good to 80mph or so. Although if you need excessive trim to free up the boat a Hydromotive cone will help that.
Best thing to do is find someone with similar setup and see what they have had sucess with..
Hope that helps.

Do you have contact information at Bob's Nosecones? I have one nosecone missing off my 89 Scarab 31 Excell with Bravo drives and stock engines, (for now). Do I replace the missing nosecone or get rid of the one still in place???
