Default #6 vs NXT

Does anyone have the dimensions of a #6 Ext box versus a NXT?

Are they the same size? If not what ware the dimenions of each?

Thanks

The NXT and #6 gimbal assemblies are almost identical in dimensions. The NXT has a removable cowl for service and the inner plate is different to allow for engine mounting.

Maybe I have to wear the funny hat now..
But a guy I meet at Miami boat show told me the #6 drive actually fits with the NXT transom assy.
Is that correct?

Thanks

I think I read about one of the race boats running this combo for a weight savings.

Yes, there is the NXT SSM, which is a #6 with a NXT driveline to fit into the gimbal assembly.
