Thank You! I just keep trying to make em live, like the next guy!

If you have the Imco propshafts, they are one piece and good units. I have been running the Imco shafts since 99 and they have held up..

MR GADGETS with a new B1 Diesel with a 4000lb v hull will the drive handle a season with a 950hp blower motor if I am easy on the stick and nail it from 4000 to 6300 rpm or should bring up in a lick count 1234 as I open it up. I had a 88 drive that I ran 650hp throw for afew years with no troubles I would nail it fromm 3800 to open and it was fine also going to a bigger prop is it better to have a 30 maxis 5 blade or a 32 or 34 b1 which will do the least damage, I WAS THINKING OF REMOVING THE STOCK prop shaft going to max or xr 1/14 then next fall what can be up graded on the b1 x drive. art

Art,
I am not familar with the new B1 Diesel, but if it is like anything else Merc makes, if the serial number begins with OM or better, being new, is it a hump back OW? I am not sure if that case has a steel tower in it. At 950hp, minimum steel tower in case and cap. If it has the X gears (helical cut) then the 950 blower motor will be hard on it. Although a Procharged motor seems to be softer in lower rpms. The roots style will kill it, unless throttle pressue is minimum until way late 5000rpm. Five blade prop will kill it quick!. Along with an upgrade propshaft, you need a good vertical shaft. Anything 950 pressurized power will need all the better parts.

ITS THE HUMP BACK WITH FINNED TOP CAP, was told it had a tower , its got a 2'' shortie going on with the short shaft so should I keep the 1'' shaft or 1/14 for the prop and if Iam just cruising will a 30 b1 be better or should I just prop it out with a 34 is what I THINK IT WILL PULL rpms will be set for 6000rpm , red line will be a lil higher but I THINK 6000 OR UNDER WOULD BE BETTER FOR DRIVE, Ialso have a 26b1 now would that be easier on the drive , what up grades should I DO IN THE FALL IF ITS STILL IN ONE PIECE ART
