Griff's pic shows a pretty large hose. Storm yours looks a bit small.. I would put a larger fitting on it to flow more water thru the drive. The more flow the better.

I wouldn't think you can run something like that if you are using it for normal engine cooling since it wil suck air. Just incase someone gets an idea to add this to theirs.

Correct it can only be an outlet for drive pickup and not tied into engine or chiller cooling systems.

US1 is correct, any holes in the system before the pump would suck air. This is used only when transom pickups are used.
