Default No FWD / REV

I lost foward and reverse over the weekend in one of my Bravo Drives. I know its in Nuetral since the motor starts. I know the linkage from the shifter to the motor is good, but i have not pulled my drive yet - just thought i would find someone that had a similar problem, or get input before i puul the drive later today.

Thanks

It could be the coupler on the engine. You might be able to look between the engine and the transome while it is running to see if the drive shaft is turning. Just a thought.

Like mcoutlaw said and after you see it spin try to take top cap off the outdrive. My drive did that once and found out the pinion was shot. Not one noise happened when it stopped. Put it gear while running and shut it off , then get to back back and see if you can turn prop while it is in gear without motor running.
