Thanks,
Already tried that. Started off with no spacers then went to 1 then the 2". With no spacers couldn't even get on plane? So back to same length as SC's Sunfun, can you elaborate on this topic! If possible can you walk through the technical aspects of what you did. How about what power, drive info upper/lowers, Gear Ratio, props used. You went from A to Z in two sentences! Not bagging just want to hear more about what you did before making the above conclusion. KAP |

You do know there is a 1.5 Ratio now for the Bmax .
Just curious what weight of oil you were running when you lost the upper bearings. My rig had 300 hrs when I changed the gear set and my bearings looked good and the gears were starting to pit. What Hp are you running thru the drive? Im glad to see your interest here on the board,Best of luck. Rob:drink: |
Intersting thread
Speed/power loss sounds like oil control to me |

When I bought my Hustler it came with the Bmax drives,I dont think there was much speed loss over the xr's it ran within 2 mph of the factory test report.
On the B-Max foot,As far as speed loss I went from the standard bravo one on mine to the crescent lower and saw maybe1 mph in speed. I then started thinning the skeg and smoothing, thinning the foot as much as I could, they come pretty thick form the casting.Im sure the polishing helped:rolleyes: before and after pick:drink: |
I will soon be putting 1076 hp and 972 ft/lbs of torque through my SCX upper/SC lower on my single engined v-hull. I will let you guys know how it goes.
This drive combo easily lived behind my previous motor of 940 hp and 865 ft/lbs of torque... we took a look at the drive after pulling my engine out of the boat in order to make it a 540... everything looked good. Chris |
