I have Bravo XR's.... What gear lube are some of you folks using that is NOT the Merc gear lube? I am currently using the Amsoil Marine gear lube, but thinking about switching to another amsoil product. I have searched through the posts on gear oil and found some good info but really looking to see what a lot of you are using your drives besides the Merc stuff. thanks!

I switched to Torco. I have been told that there has been a lot of research done by imco and they are going to start recommending it in the XR style uppers. Don't if it will help but I am hoping it helps me from blowing drives. Supposed to make them run cooler.

Amsoil 75-110 Severe Gear right now based on the recomend from Teague. Have a lot of past history with the Royal Purple as well and it served me well. I believe the deal here is to use a top shelf synthetic product, and change it often, I never go much beyond 20-25 hours. Lube is cheap, drives are not! There is always a new and better mousetrap, just be sure yours is a good one and you should be fine.
