Last I remember the shop was going to put bigger turbos on and retune it with some race gas to see what it would max out at. Even as is I'm sure on higher boost they can get into the 130's with it.

Here's a vid of the setup in a 25 Nordic V bottom with an IMCO drive.

I believe the M8 prop cavitation plate is angled up simply to accomodate larger diameter props. My first reaction to the appearance of the engines was the lack of aesthetic appeal. I think mercury is held to a high standard of corrosion protection, which is a nice thing. I can't imagine the time it would require to maintain the bling of my whipples and all the polished billet if I lived in salt water. I'd have to hire someone to keep it the way it should be. I imagine they'll do more to bling it up with time. With that said, I'd be disappointed to look at those with the hatch up, with the hatch down it would be different.

The Doc's setup looks great indeed Cougar.

Here's a few snapshots of the techs at Mercury assembling the 1350's for initial inhouse testing and shipment.
You'll notice the reversed angle stacks and rounded runners on the intake which creates a "pulling" effect on the air while the turbos "push" the air in from the compressor end or cold side as it sometimes called.

Great pics Cam!

You have any cut away pics of the various SSM drives (III, IIIA, IV, V, etc) and/or the TRS, Bravo, XR, etc....?

The V SSM drive actually uses the same transom assembly as the III-A SSM unit, with an installation height of 6" (152.4 mm) being shorter than the III-A Drive. It's rated for 750 hp/ft lbs of tq, but has been used successfully in 1000 HP applications.
As for cut-away's I'll see what I have...

Question. On a 1991 42 Fountain Lighting with triple 540s making around 650hp each. Would the NXT be better, would the #6 be overkill? Trying to get away from the bravos.

Has any one every used extension boxes and #6 drives on a triple application? I have only seen then in 2s and staggered.

All of our BBC have 6/71 8/71 on them i love the look of a blower. But we race turbo Buick V6s in most of our cars, not much to look at but I can run faster get better MPG than my big block blower motor. The turbo dont have the propshaft twisting snap but it dont stop pulling. The blowers are snapyer but plain out and then the blower becomes drag on the motor.

Here is an Apache claiming to have triple #6's with extension boxes. The picture isn't good enough to see the transom assemblies that well though.

I just couldnt quit thinking of things to do to the boat and those #6 poped in my head so I had to get up and post this at three am. Thanks again maybe I will sleep tonight.
