Not my boat. My good buddies boat. He loves how they shift so far, perform and is very happy with the results as we speak. I can not confirm any increases/decreases, but I do know that since the switch, hes bumping the rev limiter again with his 32p bravos.

Why do you want to use motor oil in an outdrive? No such thing as 10 w 40 gear lube.

This is one of the best

When it comes to outdrives, synthetic lube is superior.

No doubt that the AGM is a great product. And yes, on a weight scale, gear oils and motor oils are classified differently and a 20w-50, is virtually the same as a 75w-90. The AMSOIL 10w-40 has a gear lube rating to it, and being a bit lighter viscosity, should in theory allow you to spin your props faster.

I have put less than 10 hours on the boat this year, been breaking in a new set of lower gears that were Cryoed, isoed and DLC coated, I want them to last. Things have been un-eventful so far, oil still looks like new, nothing in my outdrive oil filter, I added a prefilter before the drive oil pump because the metal from the last set of gears destroyed the diaphram in the circ pump. I will post after I beat on it hard, Smitty
