Unhappy # 6 dry sump bearing problems

Hi

We are having problems with the bearing in the input housing assembly to the point where it is seizing onto the U-Joint assembly shaft, Oil seems ok although this is the most obvious reason but as this is now the third time (twice on Port side once on Stb). This is becoming costly. has anyone ever come across this before and if so what were the reasons. Engine aligment is ok and the oil looks clean. Boat is 42 fountain with 700sci and stage II whipple upgrade.
Any Ideas would be welcome.

Since your getting no response I would suggest contacting Craig Colabella @ colabellaperformance.com. He has alot of knowledge and is very willing to help out. Good luck.

What kind of oil are you running in the drive? Who is doing the drive work.

We are using Torco, and the local Mercurty guys here who are coming up to speed on these drives. We ave now decided to send both drives to Bam Marine for them to do, and to see what they find, cost wise there's not much in it and then we don't have to wait for parts.
Thanks for the comments.
