If you replace the drives before they go boom again, you can retrive 5k+ pr. drive alone that way. There is also the entire steering system from the bravo setup to sell, since the ASD#7M comes with a new one. If you have extension boxes to sell, there is money in those too. Depending on what you have, you would be able to sell an intire B1XR setup for 10-15k+ depending on boxes, state ect. So it's more like 4-5 drives, not 6.6.

It's not much of a project though, just drop in some engines and exhaust - everything else is there. I feel like I am giving that boat away but then I also feel like I stole the Donzi,so I guess it evens out.
What a great time to buy a boat if you don't already have one though.

So I triple checked, no wrnty on the SCX or SCX4 either.
I also asked what HP and TQ the SCX and SCX4 are rated for. Beat around the bush again with "we run over 1000hp through it, bla bla etc etc". But finally said 800 ft/lbs.
The customer service at IMCO is horrible compared to John and the bravo shop (BMAX) or RIK at Arneson.
John and RIK are excited to talk to the customer and looking forward to helping in the future.
IMCO could care, have no passionate recommendations, make no small talk, etc.
They treated me like crap in the past also when I called about breaking a vertical shaft in my SC. They could care, made it a point to blame me, and did not care if I bought a pair of SCX drives to upgrade to.
I also have 2 close friends with similiar phone calls.
IMO Imco is like a bank, we need them more than they need us......

I sold my scx uppers/ sc lowers last week and placed an order with IMCO for a pair of scx4 drives, i ran my scx/sc combo for 2 years with no problems with the uppers and the only failure i experienced was with the 1.25inch imco propshafts breaking. My new scx4 drives are coming with #6 propshafts so broken shaft problems will be gone. My boat is fairly light compared to some others out there and even tho i will be pushing more hp then imco recommends i doubt that i will have any drive related failures. My old scx uppers took the power no problem. I believe that Kap posted something about the gear sets being 98% larger then the standard imco/xr gears so these drives are very strong.
