Default Bravo stuck in gear

I have read all the threads about them being stuck in gear but they don't seem to have the symptoms I do. I am leaning towards the lower shift cable but want other opinions before I do that fun job.

I am not positive but I think it is stuck in forward. My shift lever is real easy to move the bottom 3/4 of its normal range of movement. Once you hit the top 1/4 its like hitting a wall and you can't move it at all. I havn't used this boat for two years now. Anyone have any advice.

Are you trying to shift it without rotating the input shaft? The input shaft has to be turning in order to shift it properly..

Not to say this is the case, I just had this issue. My cone clutch had welded itself into gear. Hope it is not the case for you.

Ditto....Common problem with high speed shifts and airing it out...I hate bravos!

Except I shift @900 and don't air it out. 800 feet of torque and an 8,000 pound boat are my problem.
