Default Shift cable adjustment

I just had a new shift cable/booth installed in my '94 scarab, 5.7 , Alpha One. When I raise the prop for shallow water , I am not able to shift.
Is there a limiter that keeps from shifting in gear if the prop is too high??

Thanks for any advise.

I don't believe there is a limiter, but you are playing with fire raising the drive way up and running it in shallow water - U-Joints dont like being treated like that.

It sounds right. Like you said, there is no need to run in the trailering position.
Thanks
