Default Bravo lower unit oil

Today I took the plugs behind the props out of my bravo's...Left drive very little old oil came out...Got possibly 4 oz of fluid to go back in before the pressure was sending the oil back up the tube. The right side when plug was removed 1st oil then water ran out for a while...hooked up the hand pump and it took approx 16 oz of oil...is there a breather plug to pull to let air out as you fill it? How much oil should the lower unit hold?
My thought is if there is a plug to remove possibly the right side plug is missing or cracked open causing the water to be in there? But I didn't see oil come out anywhere else when filling either side

They should hold about 3qts each. There is a plug on both sides of the upper and you should remove the caps inside the boat to help with the drain.
