Looks like I'm into a Gimbal/seals/bellows job on my Bravo 3.
What is the correct procedure to align the engine with the drive removed? I have access to the tool from the local marina. I'm presuming it's done with the new bearing installed?
I'll check my Merc. SM too.
Baja 272, single engine, B3. Thanks!

same as a bravo 1....put new bearing, in insert tool straight (no spinning), see how it lines up. if you don't know how to adjust the engine you prob should just let the shop do it because you can get it way out of alignment if you turn the mount nuts the wrong way. best done with 2 people

If you intend to fix the transom plate with bearing and bellows, The allignment is not changed.
If your coupler failed, then the allignment is suspect, and must be checked.
We sell a bellows kit less than $100.00 with the g bearing.
If you boat in salt water you should install a s.s. hose reverse connector for the hose thru the transom plate to prevent water starving from the hose being crushed.
check amarket.com/im1000b.htm and amarket.com/im654.htm.
good luck Buddy
