What did you notice was different? I use the Torco. It shifts into gear perfect every time. Occasionally it'll clunk coming out of gear but I think that's caused by the engine trying to keep that 17" prop spinning at idle.
I pulled the pinion to peek and the gears look new after 50ish hours.

OK, the drives are hung on the boat and my steering rams which come off my extension box do not align properly with the attachment points on the SCX upper.
My previous setup had a stainless steel plate made by latham that bolted on the top of the XR Drive. We are going to use that plate as a template and make a new plate to go on the top of the SCX drive then everything else will be the same, tie bar etc.
Anybody set theirs up like this before?
