I have a 95 288 sunsation and was wondering if an extension box or shorty drive would benefit the nosts performance or not. Running a 500 efi with a bravo 1x and bravo 26 .

My thought is to call Sunsation and see what they would recommend. I lot has changed since 1995...like Bravo 1 props. It seems likely your X is more than 2" high.
