Default 454 volvo penta sx cobra questions

first real boat and not quite enough power for family and "fun". Looking to get best bang for buck power upgrades. But with this 330hp 454 volvo penta sx cobra 1.43 ratio drive im wondering who has done this already and what to do or not to do?

first suggestion is procharger or weiand blower and keep engine stock.

Thanks for advice

330hp have stock cast internals so boost would not be advisable.
If engine runs well sell engine complete and replace with something better suited for performance.

it seems to run ok. first time out with good boating friend found that as he assumed it had wrong prop on for our lake elevation. 4200' 4x21 pretty doggy holeshot and only 3200 rpm. Put 4x19 prop on and will try again this weekend.

Thanks for advice. procharger pulley interferes with floor badly it appears. might have to just build this engine for power with crank and heads. Exhaust scares me as we have a very nice swim platform on the back
