I have a 27 foot victory advantage has a 454 with a ProCharger 5 pounds of boost was out yesterday running wide open and outdrivre came out of water .Wrecked the top gear and noticed a crack in the case at the base of the tower. Is the case toast.I think im around 559hp .am I over hp for the Bravo 1 can The case be fixed .or scrap it. I can buy a used Bravo 1 gear ratio is 1.36 mine was a 1.5 .or spend another 1500 for a used Bravo x with a 1.6 ratio thx

When that happens you need to pull back on the stick. If the case is cracked your better off buying a new one rather then having it fixed. The 1.3 gear is going to be harder on the parts in the drive vs the 1.5

Depending on the year (sn of the bravo) I would get the std drive and have Dick blueprint it with a steel tower. He also can also swap in a steel retainer instead of the aluminum one that holds the u-joint assembly in. The X in going to have the same upper gears as the std (sn dependent), but it already has the steel tower. I had him go through my drive and set it up to hold my blower motor and it cost less than the difference in the Std vs X you listed. It will add acoule weeks to your downtime, but man did my drive shift night and day different when he set it up.
