I've run a B1x on 600+ HP going on 2 years now and over 60 hours without an issue....I'm not the hardest on drives but I don't take it easy either. The B1x is stronger than a B1.

I recently rebuilt an older IMCO drive. It had XR gears, but used the small bravo u-joints. So it had a yoke to fit the XR gears and smaller Bravo u-joints If you can locate one of those yokes, it should fit your stern jack and allow you to run an XR. Give IMCO a call and explain what you're looking for.I bet they can help. Not sure if this was a Merc part are something unique from imco.
