Hi This is how they came from the manufactures in the 80s. I could rase the bhp to 320 per engine simply by replacing the injector pumps but id rather not change to much . They got it right for that setup. Unfortunately i am running out of cost affective options for replacing the 3 SSM this is reason i am looking and have probably committed to the Arneson units . Rik,

His 41 is a 3208 Cat powered boat. What twin disc trans would he have to go to for the Arneson conversion.?

MG5061A is the gear he should source for the conversion. These come in a 1.54:1 or is it 1.48:1 ? A 1:1 is totally wrong for that boat. One would think it's difficult to get that big of a boat on plane with propellers that small and 3 bladed to boot.

Ricardo, you have any photos of this boat?

set up right the arnesons should work real nice on that hull,magnum marine use to install the arneson and diesels in a lot of there similar hulls ran great and super reliable,if those 3 are really 1.1 the boat will run alot better with some gear reduction somewhere between 1.5-2.0:1

Go with a zf- 280 - a transmission with the 1.5 ratio. Get a set of acme 6 blade props. I have installed that combo in many boats with yanmar diesels and works great. The acme props are not very expensive either

The 240 a transmission we get you a down angle so that the engines can be mounted very close to level
