Default putting bravos on TRS transom shield.

bought some parts yesterday from this guy and he said he used to make an adapter to put a bravo bell housing (helmet) into a trs gimball ring. showed me the spot cast into the transom shield where you can mount the shifter boot and drill out for the cable. has anybody ever heard of this? then after i left there i thought, what about the rear motor mount?

Or how about the coupler and removing the transmission? The easiest part of the job would be putting the bravo transom assembly on.

that's what i meant by what about rear motor mount? the 2 ears on the inner are for the borg trans correct? and they are nowhere near where the alpha-bravo flywheel cover wants to sit? and then the gimball boot....edit. just talked to the guy. still hadda use a transmission inside the boat. so the bravo is then run in forward forever. oh well...

There is a big metal plate type thing that was designed to mount a bravo on a volvo cutout. It can also be used to mount a bravo on a trs cutout... http://www.michiganmotorz.com/mercru...or-p-1069.html

The yoke shafts are 5" or so different length swapping whole set up lets you move the engine back .wonder how the trs "superrams " would work with the bravo anyway

...or you could just replace your rotted transom and cut it for a bravo...
