Bravo 3XR differences and who has put the most power through them

Bravo 3XR differences and who has put the most power through them
What are all the differences from a standard Bravo 3 compared to a 3XR? I have read that the XR has straight cut gears.....is it cost effective to just buy internals and convert my drives to the straight cut gears?
Also, I see them on larger cruisers with 525s.....has anyone put more power than that through a 3XR with success?
