lower unit..

so guys.. what is the performance difference between a IMCO lower Vs a XR lower.. just started to get back into boating again and the boat i'm looking at has a big chunk missing out of the fin, so i'll be replacing it.. thanks for the input.. boat has 496HO's spinning 28 props.

It uses XR gears but it is longer and pointy and has a huge low water intake which I welded and reshaped. It can also be gotten in 2" shorty and 1 1/4" prop shaft.

looking nice man.. what did you pick up from the stock housing to the IMCO?
