I think a #8 will be a little slower with bigger parts inside.

Probably, but irrelevant to me. I couldn't run the engines at 100% last year because of drive breakage. I'm more concerned with the hydrodynamics, handling.

...and when you make that statement. And its unrelated to Bravos, you are a badass.

Ha ha! Herb's the badass...

Yeah I don't think that little extra internal loss will hurt ya one bit. Plus what fun is 1500hp if your always afraid of breaking...

Friend of mine is in the middle of converting from #6's that are blue printed by Wilson Marine and going with the M8's also with upgraded Power.
(Black Engines) is all I can share with you at this point. But it will be completed by June and can share more at that point.

Thank you, our first event is in May.
Hopefully I'll be able to give your friend some data. Is he in a cat or V?
At this time we're going to leave them at same X, test, evaluate and go from there. This is safe. I don't want to get smoked by Geico again. I want to go full tilt 100% and school them youngsters! Lol

Did you call/ask Merc Racing or JT @ TNT???

In 2 minutes, he (JT) could probably tell you what you're in store for with 99% accuracy and still hold back a full poker hand of info for his own Unlimited Class obligations

That's a good suggestion, Herb has spoken to several knowledgeable people in that circle. Every hull is unique but the more input we get the better off we'll be once our testing commences. My hull is different from an MTI and I'm sure possesses attributes that make it better and some that make it worse. The MTI presents very good design and construction. I know our sponsons and tunnel are significantly different so test results will vary but I'll reiterate any input is of value.
thank you for the suggestion.

NP....JT's skillset definitely isn't limited to MTI on setups. Your platinum isn't a huge step away from the Mystic which was his last boat he dominated when teamed with Dave Scott ( plus the history of rigging/racing Skaters and everything else that comes to TNT)

Definitely looking forward to watching you run this year!
