I actually did get a set of lowers analyzed. They are a very common material, and the uppers are likely the same. I have not obtained a set of uppers to determine conclusively, however.

What Metal is Imco making their SCX gears with,,compared to Merc.

Has anyone performed a Rockwell hardness test on xr gears? Wondering what they come in at. There’s an obvious point of no return if they become to brittle. Wondering if merc is leaving margin on the table?
