Default 700 sci shift problems

Hello Gents
i have a problem with my 700 sci fountain 42
when i connect the shift interupt on both my motors they wont rev past 1000 rpm , when we disconnect it the motor runs normal . We changed the shift interupt switch and it does the same ?
Could it be the lower shift cable ?
any ideas to help your fellow boater ?

Just some extra info and about the OTHER switch on the bracket --- The shift in gear switch reports to the PCM whether the drive is in gear or in N.for a jist of it. If it is not working properly guardian takes place and even engine shut down can take place. I am talking about the shift in gear switch. .

Ur welcome

in the part - link of the plate - # 34 the cable has the barrel on it that goes into (held in ) # 11. The barrel is the cable adjustment. And sometimes that barrel nut gets locked on the threads inwhich can not move (screw) for an adjustment change. Disimilar metal corrosion welds the barrel to the threads, Not all the times but alot overtime. It is best to use a lite lube on the threads and barrel x amount of times per year.
