Default Drill holes into XR for steering cap?

I had a bravo 1 with an incomplete hydrologic steering. On 26 foot single. 1 ram on each sid of the drive.
I recently purchased an xr and notice only the 2 top caps fit. Do I have to drill out the bottom holes for the steering cap holes and create threads?

You just by the stepped drill bit from imco and use the cap as the jig. Simple and cheap. You would have to be a real idiot to screw it up. Jeff wurl
