Mark,
It was great to see you back posting. I remember your build thread a while back. Aren’t you down in southern Ohio? I think I remember posts of some race bikes. Where u plan on running it now?? Sorry I don’t have much feedback on your issue. I never came across that one before... good luck

I thought that if a drive went up by itself it was a sign of moisture in the system.

So what's the status on the rising drive?

So 4yrs later this is still a problem and I'm back looking for help. This is a mystery to me. Boat is in Florida where I left it for winter again. This time I disconnected both batteries completely and unhooked the engine hatch lift. I unhooked the tie bar between the drives just in case as it puts things on a bind.

I come back to this.... WTF?

Someone here said it must be a slow leak of current to the pump. I have previously tried disconnecting power to the trim pump w/no luck. I strapped it to the trailer once and broke the ratchet strap. Unplugged the trim switch. And more.... please give me some new ideas. Thanks guys:)

Something has to be making the fluid expand. Try flushing the system 2x. Expansion is the only thing left if there is no power going to it. I will admit that seems like a lot of expansion and does not sound realistic but at this point thats really all that is left.

I dont know how trim cylinders are plumbed. Are there any check valves? If so you might replace those. Dont think this video is what you have going on but loss of fluid with check valves that operate in a certain way even if it is by malfunction can move fluid up. Just food for thought.

Okay, if I was to drain the system completely by pulling the trim lines from the cylinders (best way?) flush and blead... sigh. That was my next thought but it don't seem to be lifting that drive constantly.is possible?

Why can't it just drop on it's own like everyone else's???

Any other thoughts? Thanks
