Drive raising on it's own and stuck there again

While parked overnight my drive will creep up gradually and stick there. Not bleed down which is common but, raises on its own. then sticks there and pump won't bring it down. Standing on the drive while wife pushes the button and still no go. Pump just squeals like when it's reached its limit.

Last time I had to put it in the water under power it would release and lower. It is full up now and don't want to hook up my tie bar to the other drive like this.

I've had this problem for several years and it's driving me crazy. PLEASE HELP!

I guess I will remove a hose and try to get it down that way today but, can't get my head around why it would raise on it's own and stick there every time. I've resorted to strapping the drive to the trailer to prevent it from raising overnight.

Drives were off over the winter and I had the rams strapped in with a motorcycle strap over the winter and it broke the strap so they are fully extended now. Put my drives on yesterday and can't get it down again.

Is there a bleed or bypass screw to release pressure of is unhooking line it?
How do I fix this issue once and for all?
Thanks for your replies!
Mark

I guess I can't answer that as I've not physically disconnected the wires to see if it stops it while retracted. They raise about an inch over 24hrs, Today's challenge is getting the drive down first then I can disconnect the batteries overnight to see if that changes anything. Thanks for the reply

Guessing, but think there is a switch making contact intermittently and it raises. Once up it runs for longer and now the rams are in a bind.

There isn't a bleed screw so have to open a line. Don't know if the rams are binding or if the valve in the pump is stuck. Would need to dissemble to see whats hanging/binding

with the perko switches off if wired correctly there should be no power the the trim rams or tabs

Thanks. I'll try removing the line on the pump to get it down for now.

Do you happen to know left or right hose at the pump? I'm sure I'll make a mess in my freshly powerwashed bilge. LOL
edit... nevermind that. They are marked. Duh
Then I'll switch off the batterys to see what happens. It's just so slow and steady that I can't see that being it but, I'll try.
Thanks

Id crack the line open on the ram to bleed pressure, no bilge mess

Thanks guys. I took the line off. No fluid and stood on i.. Nothing. Hit the switch and fluid out the pump side. Put back together and neighbor stood on it while switching up and down. Little by little it went down. Now I can hook up Hyd steering and tie bar. Yay.
Now to figure out why it raises slowly... any ideas on that? Just like when they bleed down sometimes, this one raises?

My WAG guess is the ‘up solenoid’ or some west african drive zombie curse. :)

Battery switched off and no power now for sure. I'll watch and see. I'm going for the zombie curse right now. LOL Thanks all.
