I really need to staryooking into scx drives then. I don't want to trailer a boat 8 hr round trips for poker runs and damn Xr keep breaking

I carried a spare XR drive in the bed of my truck for years. I needed it a couple of times, but I loaned it out more times than I could count. Most of the times when I would break a drive, I was just cruising at 4K rpm in flat water.

You could take about 250 hp out of each motor and it will still run faster than the SCX

Anything above 550hp is pushing your luck on a bravo xr...

just my opinion.

I think they're rated for 600 hp by Mercury.

I think around 900 hp, the dual down shaft lower may be a bit more
