Default Please Help!! 1988 Bravo one Nose Cone

I need a nose cone for a 1988 Bravo one lower unit. I'm have trouble finding one for the year. If I cant get one to match the year, will a newer nose cone fit with my older drive?? I found one online at Bob's Machine, but they stopped carrying them. Any info helps, Thanks guys!!

Unless you are north of 90mph, I don't think a nose cone will do anything. That said, my Fastech was a handful over 90 and after putting the nosecones on it felt a bit more stable. Also gained a little top end. It was worth it for my application.

I used one from Hydro-Motive, worked good for me too.

The pre 90. Bravo’s had a shorter strut and bullet and would blow out in the 70’s the 90 to current will go 100 .... I’m not a believer on them on the 90 ups, but the older one can take advantage of them if you’re running mid 70’s

I bought the boat with nose cones already installed, one broke off and I was going to put one back on rather than take off the other one.
I do agree that I probably don't need them. My boat is a 88' Scarab Panther with 454s, only seeing like 60mph.

I would just take the other one off and sand the drives smooth.

I have them on my boat and don't need them either for my speeds and that is what I would do. They were put on when the boat was much faster.
