I’d pass on a drive that’s been worked on by a blind monkey. That retainer ring tells quite a story before you even get inside the thing.

Just for curiosity how much you pay for the drive?Bravo shop uses that retainer screw as well. Like someone said above they tried to remove retainer with the screw in.

$2k for the whole thing.

If it was solid, it would have been a great deal. You cannot find a complete bravo 1 for that price. Then you had the Teague cap and Latham hydraulic steering bracket installed. Don't know what else was actually done to it though? Still had the 1" prop shaft and didn't appear to have a billet bearing carrier that I could tell.
