Its feeding into a lowrance HDS7. It only comes with the gateway device. you have to buy a nmea2k starter kit in order to hook it up to your M84. I also had to buy another cable to attach from the engine to the gateway to complete the smartcraft network. its easy to understand once you see it completed, getting there was a different story
