Wet Sounds all day long......
MB Quart is owned by MaxxSonics now. Same company that owns Crunch and HiFonics.
Wet Sounds XS-650's and XS-808's are more durable, and have a more unique sound then the JL Audio. Find a local dealer for a demo to hear them for YOURSELF.

In case anyone is wondering where the old school MB Quart guys and the quality/ technology went: http://www.german-maestro.de/US/company.htm I haven't used or heard any but hear good things... I run old school MB Quart "Q" series in my trucks which are now "M" series in the Maestro line. You will pay out the a$$ for them now though! It looks like they do marine as well but have never heard about anyone using them.
Don't buy any speaker on someone's recommendations alone as stated above you need to audition them all... everyone's tastes are different but you will most likely end up with JL or Wet sounds lol.
