mine was on a 525. It was not buried it was next to where the harness plug is located for the data cable.

Lil Mick thanks for posting this. I found it in my searches, 2 years later after you posted it.
I also have a non- smart craft equipped (Year: 2005) 525, and the Vessel View Mobile would not power up.
I located the 3-wire plugs which were attached to the main harness, removed the blank caps, and plugged them into each other.
Problem solved.
I couldn’t find this info anywhere else, so thank you for posting and I hope this helps someone else down the line.

Do all Of the engine wiring have the 3 wire connector to open the power for on of the engines.
I have searched my harness and cannot find it only the two in the last picture. I have dual engine setup and and running two cable two a 5 port j box then a gateway to get it to my nema 200 network then my simrad go9 se.
I have already changed the city id.

I don’t have the 3 wire connectors on my 525efi gen2.
i cut the 3 wires in the blue SmartCraft cable from engine to the j-box on the BB engine.
so the StB Engine Powers the SmartCraft network.
