I think people get too hug up on the ohms per foot rating. I wouldn't buy a wire for that reason only.

NGK spark plugs have a 5k 0hm 'plug' (resistor) in them. Shhhh.

Guess that's why I run the Autolite racing plugs with the cut back electrode and no resistor. No problem with the electronics on the boat.

I agree. I understand why everyone wants low resistance wire, I did the same thing.
Back when Warren Johnson was racing in Pro Stock where 1 - 2 hundredths of a second is a lot, he decided to find out. He ordered about 10 sets of performance plug wires and tested them all back to back at Atlanta Dragway. There was no difference in ET between even the highest and lowest resistance wire sets. Of course all wires were new, so perhaps when they got older you might see a very minor difference?

Agree, the ohms per foot is nothing but marketing - buy from a reputable brand and youll be solid

I believe Smitty (articfriends) did some dyno testing with plug wires. From old junk wires to new high end wires he found no difference. I'm sure he'll chime in with a detailed summary. lol

Best way to make plug wires last for 15-20yrs. Yes, i just said 15-20yrs.
- Don’t run stupid azz huge gaps. .035-.040 is plenty.
- Don’t burn’m or cut’m on anything.

That’s it.
