That guy fixed the 2 ecu, sent a 45 minute u tube, didn’t watch it all as they were not mine so passed that on to my friend, 2400.00 to fix both, my buddy is up in BC so it will be close to3400 Canadian but at least they are good to go and he has a spare ecu, thanks for the info on the repair guy

That`s crazy money for repairs!!
I had one that had dead injector drivers and it was less than $500 to repair .

Yes I sure was shocked at the price of repair, could have switched to carb or bought after market tuneable Efi, was expecting maybe 800 to 1000 for both, he didn’t send an estimate before doing repair or maybe I missed that, my buddy may not have done repair ? He was kind enough that the 2400 includes return shipping LOL

Heck this summer I pulled my old Holley commander 950 t I Efi system out of my closet and put on my 496 and it purrs like a kitten, got a spare ecu on eBay and an innovate wb o2 to control ecu works great, once the winter refit is done( v-belt to serpentine and a couple other things) gonna add computer controlled timing distributor in, its laptop programmable and I find it easier to do fuel tuning first then to timing, I did purchase an aces Efi tbi system and may try it, they do have some self learning but will have to do some laptop tuning, especially when I put a blower back on the old girl

I wanted to have one checked out to make sure it`s all good.

Not sure who that John guy is, I have always been a Volvo penta guy, and carbs or aftermarket programmable efi, never been a Merc guy.
