Is that enough power for that boat?

When is enough, enough? Not enough for me!!!
I can go from 0 to 75 in 15 seconds, so it is really quick. But I don't do that because I don't want to blowing the drive. It was way under powered without the whipple, but it tops out at 80-82 now. I would rather have a quad rotor whipple 572 or 565, but this will have to do for now. I think I will upgrade to a bigger boat instead of upgrading engines. I might throw some aluminum heads on, before the next boat, to pick up some extra speed, but I runs pretty good right now.

I have always been intrigued by the 28 Daytonas with single engine power. I have read the single engine does not carry the bow, is sluggish getting onto plane and is tough on drives. However, according to Eliminator the 28 Daytona with a single is only 4800lbs., which maybe on the heavy side of a single engine application but is certainly reasonable. How would you describe the ride of your 28?

Sorry for misunderstanding, but mine is an Eagle XP.
A guy that I meet at the lake has a 28 Daytona that he is bringing to LOTO, but it has 2 Ilmor V10's. I think it rides really good. Maybe I can get a ride on it at loto.

To buy a lake condo, and then to order another 27 daytona this winter. I have 2 kids and stay with other people at the lake and its not working. Id rather have my family and my boat at my dock and my place all year.

Yeah i drove to cali and picked it up the first of summer. And who knows the hit but i put money down so I should atleast get out of it. I see a 03' 27 daytona similar to mine on ebay going for 93,000 today and ending in a day or so. I may put it on ebay in a week or so if no one steps up to buy it. I just should have bought the lake place first and the boat second.
