That was in 2001 and I think they were 330 HP. Never had it on the water with those engines, just paid the insurance while I was rigging the boat. I think it was ~$800. I have a pair of 625 hp engines now and I'm with Worldwide Marine.

Love the boat. I bought it after riding in a friends. We do 3 or 4 pokerruns a year and take several weekend trips a year that are around 300 miles long.

So, getting a boat under the 100mph is still a problem getting insurance? I was looking at some of the Daytonas with single engine applications, not crazy either 496H0, and the insurance is still hard to get? My Spectre was low 7K thats why its gone...Do I need to be looking at V's?

I did not have a problem when I switched ALL my insurance over to a new company with my boat included.

I think its worth every dollar either way. who wants to boat sea sick style anyway? If you boat in the mid west such as inland lakes and rivers I have a contact and they are at 900 bucks for a 27 daytona. The same for a buddies 26 daytona, but they dont do the coast or lake X. Oh and my 27 daytona is for sale.

How much did your insurance cost?

By the way, I too have heard a few stories of the IWSF. Do a good internet search and you will find Cease and Desist orders against them. I have heard that they will be quick to cover small deals but be careful with whole boat claims.

They are too cheap to believe considering the other quotes I was getting when I was thinking about getting a cat. They will insure you in states where they are not licensed to insure you. This is a serious issue.
