I looked into this previously as well. Was tired of the concern about blowing bravos. I actually was contacted by the Arneson guys and they were quite confident about the application. I would reach out to them and gain their perspective as well as who they might recommend doing the work.

The question you deleted is one I had also. Has anyone put the drives on a 28 Daytona, using the replacement Bravo package Rik has and how was the dial in period? What were the results? The stuff that concerned me were the reports of the boats not handling well and in some cases spinning out or causing a 180 degree turn at high speed. No one could endorse it or relate experiences they had. I hear the correct prop is hard to determine. I have followed this drive since I was first read about Howard Arneson years ago and I know it is one of the best, if not the best surfacing drives on the market. I just did not want to have any chance of a long dial in time. Went through that when I was young and now I just like to ride in the summer and work on them in the winter.
Propellers are fairly simple. Unlike in the past, we currently can/do use the same propellers that fit a standard Mercury drive. So anyone from Hering, Mercury or ?? can make you a propeller for an Arneson application and you can swap them with anyone running a Merc speedmaster drive.
Just like with the Merc drives, you need the correct diameter and pitch for the application and speed of the boat. It is fairly simple.
Whoever PR388 is... well he obviously speaks from his experience

Likewise, where are all these boats with Arnesons that spin out? So much negative information with so little data to back the misinformation.

He is simply a young boy who eats, breaths and dreams about boats. Do not take his comments about the drives as an insult. He does not mean to harm, I believe. This site is his after school play land. The posts about the boats spinning came from here, as this is my only source of info about such things. I went back and read many threads that you have posted in, as you are a very good ambassador for Arneson and post on almost every thread about them. I do not know any more details than written here, but certainly wanted to know.

A. Do not introduce yourself, name, location or what boat you have or have been in predominately. i.e. experience or lack thereof.
B. You did not state you were ignorant, instead you posted a slanderous statement without foundation nor truth as fact for others to read, thus liable. I suggest you consult council before you continue to post in this manner.
C. When you do the above, you attack with insults rather than
1. Apologize for your liable inaccurate statements
2. You do not edit nor remove your false statements thus leading to others that are just as ignorant to see and believe you are presenting yourself as a knowledgeable source of information.
In case you are correct in that you are learning, then you are by the very definition ignorant (ignorant by definition, save you the time to look it up, means lack of knowledge) and rather than insulting people, companies, and or products, you should post the source of your assumptions, ask people that have actual relevant experience not 3rd-4th persons removed or further removed parties and post their ignorance as fact.
Then, you might have a much warmer reception from other members.
