30 Eagle questions...

My 34 Kachina weighs around 10,000 with fuel & pulls like a dream behind my dually, You could pull it with your rig but would need all the help you can get from the trailer brakes. I wouldn't pull a 30 Eliminator across the country without a GOOD trans cooler but it could be done.

I wouldnt tow a 30' eagle with an escalade. It's based on a half ton truck frame. It may have the oats but doesnt have the brakes or length to tow safely. My wifes Tahoe can pull our 25' Eagle ( single 502) OK but it's short wheel base and small disc brakes make towing an adventure. Encounter cross wind and it would be sketch at best. My 3/4 ton HD 4x4 crew cab Duramax doesnt doesnt flinch an any condition with the small boat behind it. It also doesnt flinch when our 27' 11' high travel trailer is being dragged through high winds and 65 MPH, weighed the trailer fully loaded at it's near 10K. If you live in area that has steep grades, high winds, rutted highways I wouldnt attempt towing that boat with a light duty rig. It will do it, but it isnt safe. JMHO.

I've still been keeping my eye open for a 30 Eagle that appeals to me. I've seen this one for sale on this website for quite a while. Does anyone know anything about it? I don't know really anything about Ron Sporl engines, or what these really are that are installed. Carbed? Injected?

That boat has been listed for a couple of years. If it as clean as it looks in the vacuum of that room it would be worth the asking price. Been wondering why it's still for sale. If it's the real deal it would be a great buy. My wife loves it....
