Thanks for the input playdeep. I always wondered how the boat would run if I upgraded the power more. sounds like tabs are a requirement. A buddy of mine is getting a 27 fountain with a procharger 502, so I will get to see how they ride different.

playdeep,
Did you add the tabs or did the boat come with them? If you added them did it help the side by side rocking? I have videos of my boat rocking/ chine walking, it feels worse than it looks. Still havent topped mine out yet but have been 94gps. (the hatch launched) had to stop and go get it.....it was a long way back! Greg

HP junkie,
I purchased the boat w/tabs.
Running some tab will help with the chine walking...it also scrubs a little speed because of the drag.

If you have hydraulic steering, you can also counter steer through the chine walking...Afriend taught me how,and it is effective.

Playdeep,
I may have talked to you in the phone about a year ago. I thought you were over 100 mph but couldnt hold it or something? Maybe it was just a handfull. I dont really remember. When you say its an animal do you mean it runs right thru the chop? Would you own one without tabs? THanks Greg

HP Junkie,
Tough call on the tabs...

I run on Havasu, and it gets pretty choppy due to all of the boat traffic.
Tabs are great in the in the slop or when you have a bunch of people on board, bury the tabs and you slice through the chop, instead of bouncing over it...

A good set of tabs(DANA,Kiekafer)are kinda pricey, but since by other Eagle's didn't have them and my new one does,I have to admit they do come in handy a lot.
I also have a stand-off box which allows me to run a lot less positive trim.
Consequently,I don't have to shake it as loose to get into the upper 90's or touch triple digits.
Michael
