Default New Pictures: Two 40's One 42

I have taken on 2 more 40 Excaliburs for Repower. Both had the original 400HP TRS combos. The black boat has 750 original hours. 100% salt water boat. The black boat is getting new 540ci 600HP engines. The transmissions are being upgraded and we hope for the best on the drives. The gray boat is having the original engines rebuilt using HP425 Specs and 4" Gil manifolds.

The 42' just showed up in my area. It is a Wellcraft Excalibur 42 Eagle. It has 420's and TRS. Generator and Air. Everythings works and runs great. A neighbor has it for sale at $25k.

Enjoy.

I've gone an looked at this boat. Some of the pictures are when it was in Florida some years ago when it was redone.
Personally, I would not purchase it for that price. It has been for sale for quite some time & has been reduced in price by 10K. Didn't inspect the hull too much. It needs alot of cosmetics. Seems like it was neglected some. I was very interested until I saw it in person, then decided to move on.
That is just my opinion for what it is worth. I own a Excalibur Marine 27 Speedster & a Cigarette Cafe Racer. I am not a mechanic or expert at boat refurbishing, but I have some experience with money invested in these types of boats.

Default EX in MD

I am interested in the boat in MD but trying to deal with the guy at Miers Point is frustrating, I am in Afghanistan currently working and I plan on being home after the first of the year.

In my time off I really don't want to waste my time and money doing more globe trotting looking at boats that have been misrepresented.

If you know anything more about this boat or others like it please send me a message.

Thanks,

John
