Ok how much HP will it take to get an early 80's 27' Flat Deck with a TRS drive to 80 mph ?

I have 82 27 speedster with a trs and with a 540 making 630hp and on a good day 81 @ 5600 with a 25 mirage plus but all day long 78

That flat deck will be a nice boat. A nice 650 hp 540 would make it go.

I Had A 1980 27 Speedster With Trs And 610 Dyno Hp. Would Run 82 83 With A 28 Pitch Suzuki Prop.then Put On Number 3 Speedmaster With 1.25 Gear Ratio And 26 Pitch Cleaver 1052 Hp And Ran 104-105
